Cookie policy
This is a small site and it uses very few cookies. Nothing that tracks you loads unless you say yes.
Change your mind at any time
1. The short version
This site sets no cookie that tracks you, and loads no analytics, until you say yes. If you close the banner without choosing, nothing optional runs. You can change your mind at any time from the link in the footer of every page, and the change takes effect immediately.
2. Categories
Strictly necessary — always on
These make the site work at all. They remember that you confirmed you are 18 or older, and they remember your cookie choices so we stop asking. They cannot be switched off, because switching them off would mean asking you the same questions on every page. They contain no identifier that means anything to anyone but this website, and they are never sent anywhere.
Analytics — off until you allow it
Anonymous counts of which pages people read and which buttons they press. A branch with no professional web team needs this to know whether the FAQ is doing its job, and whether the Rules of Play are being read before purchase rather than after. No analytics script is loaded, and no analytics cookie is set, until you accept this category.
Marketing — not currently used
We do not run advertising and we set no marketing cookies today. The category exists so that if the branch ever measures a social campaign, you will be asked first rather than told afterwards.
3. What is actually stored
| Name | Category | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| b370.agegate.v1 | Strictly necessary | This site | Remembers your 18+ acknowledgement | 30 days |
| b370.consent.v1 | Strictly necessary | This site | Remembers your cookie choices | 12 months |
| b370.session.v1 | Strictly necessary | This site | Branch Office sign-in state, staff only | Until sign-out or 20 minutes idle |
| b370.attempts.v1 | Strictly necessary | This site | Counts failed Branch Office sign-in attempts, to lock the form briefly | Until a successful sign-in |
| b370.portal.* | Strictly necessary | This site | The Branch Office demonstration data and your own portal profile and display preferences | Until you clear site data |
| _ga / analytics ID | Analytics | Analytics provider TBC | Distinguishes one visitor from another, anonymously | Up to 24 months |
| Supplier cookies | Set on their site, not ours | Raffle supplier TBC | Checkout, fraud prevention, eligibility checks | Per their policy |
Everything beginning b370. is held in your browser's local storage rather than as a traditional cookie. It never leaves your device, and we cannot read it from our server, because this site has no server-side code at all.
4. Third parties
- The raffle supplier. Ticket sales happen on the licensed supplier's own website. Once you leave this site, their cookie policy applies to what happens there. We will name the supplier here as soon as one is contracted, and link to their policy.
- Google Fonts. This site loads its typefaces from Google's servers. That request sets no cookie, but it does reveal your IP address and browser headers to Google, and it leaves Canada. We name it here rather than pretend the page is entirely self-contained. If the branch decides that is one third party too many, the fonts can be self-hosted and this clause will be removed.
- The analytics provider, once chosen — loaded only with your consent, never before.
- There are no advertising networks, no social media pixels, no session recorders and no heatmap tools on this site. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
5. Turning cookies off, and other controls
- Use the on this site. Changes take effect immediately and persist across visits.
- Or clear site data in your browser, which erases everything above and returns the site to its first-visit state. In most browsers this is under Settings, then Privacy, then Cookies and site data.
- Blocking strictly necessary storage will make the age gate reappear on every page. Nothing will break.
- Declining analytics does not reduce anything you can see or do here. There is no worse version of this site for people who say no.
- We honour a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser as a refusal of the analytics and marketing categories. You do not have to interact with the banner for that to apply.
6. How long your choice lasts
Your consent record is kept for twelve months, after which the banner asks again. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it cannot retrieve data already gathered by a third party while consent was in force, and we do not claim otherwise.
7. Why we ask at all
Canadian privacy guidance treats tracking for analytics and advertising as something requiring meaningful consent, given before the tracking starts, in language a person can actually understand. That is the standard this page is written to. The detail is in the Privacy Policy.
8. Questions and changes
Ask about anything on this page by email to privacy@legionbranch370.ca, by telephone on 613-652-4516, or through the contact page. Material changes are published here with a new date, and where a change adds a third party the consent banner is shown again.
