The raffle, step by step
How the Branch 370 50/50 works
Written for somebody who has never bought anything online. If any part of this is unclear, telephone the branch on 613-652-4516 and a volunteer will walk you through it.
Confirm you are eligible
You must be 18 years of age or older and physically located in Ontario at the moment you buy. Residency does not matter — a visitor standing in Ontario may buy; an Ontario resident standing in Florida may not. The supplier's checkout checks this, and it is not something the branch can override.
Choose a ticket bundle
There are four bundles. A larger bundle costs less per ticket. You do not need an account with us and you will not be signed up to anything by buying.
Complete the purchase on our partner's site
Branch 370 does not take your money or hold your card details. When you press Buy Tickets, a short notice appears explaining that you are leaving this website, and then a new tab opens on the licensed electronic raffle supplier's secure checkout. You will be asked to tick a box accepting the Rules of Play before the sale completes — that acknowledgement is required by the regulator.
Receive your numbers by email
Your ticket numbers arrive by email, usually within a minute or two. Keep that email — it is your ticket. If it does not arrive, check your junk folder first, then telephone the branch.
Watch the draw and check the result
The draw takes place at the branch hall, 24 Dundas St. The winning number, the prize amount and the claim instructions are posted on the Winners page. If your number is drawn we will also contact you using the details you gave at checkout.
Before anything can be sold
Branch 370 has applied for nothing it cannot honour. No raffle licence has yet been issued and no ticket supplier has been contracted, so no tickets are on sale today. This page describes exactly how it will work the moment those two things are in place.
Proposed bundles
| Tickets | Price | Per ticket | Note |

These figures are a proposal only. They must be confirmed by the branch executive and match the approved Rules of Play exactly before any sale.
What "50/50" means
Every dollar of ticket sales is split in half. One half is the prize and goes to a single winner. The other half stays with Branch 370 for general operations and community programs.
Because the prize is a share of sales rather than a fixed sum, the jackpot is genuinely unknown until sales close. Any figure shown before then is an estimate, and we label it as one.
If you would rather not use a computer
Telephone 613-652-4516 during lounge hours, or come to the hall. A volunteer will complete the purchase with you. We would rather spend ten minutes on the phone than lose you to a website.
Prize amounts shown are estimates and will be finalized after the close of sales. Tickets are not eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
